1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") is issued by UTMatrix ("we", "us", or "our") and applies to your access to the official UTMatrix website (https://www.utmatrix.top) and to your use of our desktop software products, including but not limited to UTranDub (collectively, the "Software").
We understand the importance of your personal information and are committed to keeping it secure and reliable. This Policy explains how we handle information relating to you and what rights you have in that respect.
Please read this Policy carefully and make sure you fully understand it before using the Software. By starting to use the Software, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy in its entirety.
2. Our Data Processing Principles
We follow a "data minimization" and "local-first" design philosophy: whenever an operation can be performed on your device, it is performed locally and never routed through our servers.
Local processing
All features of the Software run on your local device. No account registration and no connection to our servers are required.
Zero data collection
We do not collect, store, analyze, or upload any of your files, logs, or processed content.
3. Information We Collect and Do Not Collect
To help you understand our practices precisely, we set out the following distinction:
- We do NOT collect: the content of any videos, audio, subtitles, translations, or dubbing results that you import or generate;
- We do NOT collect: device identifiers, contacts, location, clipboard contents, or other device information;
- We do NOT collect: your in-app operations, usage duration, task history, or other behavioral data;
- We only receive the contact details and problem descriptions that you voluntarily provide when you actively contact us, and only for the purpose of answering your questions and providing support.
The Software does not require an account, and we will never ask you for your name, phone number, national ID number, or any other identity information.
4. Data Types Processed Locally
The following data that may be generated while you use the Software is stored solely on your local device:
- Video and audio files and subtitle content;
- Output files generated by AI translation and dubbing;
- Translation task records and history;
- Configuration parameters for large language models, speech models, and other services (including any service keys you enter yourself);
- License information and local preference settings.
All of the above data is stored on your local device. We cannot access, read, modify, or delete it. Uninstalling the Software or deleting the relevant data directories will remove the corresponding data.
5. Third-Party Services and Model Services You Configure
Certain capabilities of the Software (such as large language model translation and speech synthesis) require you to configure a third-party service provider yourself, and your device communicates with that provider directly.
In that process, the relevant text or audio content is submitted by you directly to the provider you have selected, and its handling is governed by that provider's own privacy policy. We can neither intervene in nor obtain the content of such communications.
Before configuring any provider, please read and carefully evaluate its privacy policy and terms of use, and assess its compliance and security on your own.
6. License Activation and Purchase Information
When you purchase a Pro license, the payment process is completed by a third-party payment platform. We do not directly handle or store your bank card number, payment password, or other sensitive payment information.
We only receive the information necessary in connection with the order and the license (such as the order number and the license status), in order to generate and issue the license key, provide after-sales support, and verify authenticity.
Such information is used only to the extent necessary for the purposes described above and is retained in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
If you use the Free version only, we do not collect any information from you.
7. Website Access, Cookies, and Logs
When you visit the official website, we may use necessary local storage technologies to support basic page functionality (for example, remembering your language preference) and to keep network access secure.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not use your browsing activity to build commercial advertising profiles.
The website uses only the technical means necessary to support its basic functions and does not deploy advertising or behavioral analytics scripts. Should statistical analysis ever become necessary, we will update this Policy in advance and explain the change.
8. Data Security
Because the Software runs entirely on your local device, data security is primarily maintained by you. To reduce risk, we recommend that you:
- Back up important data regularly;
- Configure a local firewall and operating-system access controls;
- Safeguard the third-party service keys that you enter;
- Download and update the Software only through official channels.
9. Your Rights and Control
Because all of your data is stored on your local device, you have full access to it and full ability to modify and delete it, without needing to submit a request to us.
You may clear all local data at any time by deleting the Software's data directories or uninstalling the Software.
If you have previously provided us with your contact details when contacting support, you may at any time ask us to delete that information through the channels listed at the end of this Policy, and we will handle your request promptly after verification.
10. Protection of Minors
The Software is a general-purpose desktop tool and is not offered as a standalone service to children under the age of 14.
If you are a minor, please read this Policy and use the Software under the guidance of your guardian, and obtain your guardian's consent before making any payment.
If we discover that we have collected information relating to a minor without prior consent from a guardian, we will take steps to delete it as soon as possible.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time in response to changes in laws and regulations or to our business. Updated versions will be published on the official website.
If an update involves a material change to your rights, we will provide prominent notice. Your continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
